Kickoff Meeting Wiener Neustadt
The Kickoff Meeting of the project took place in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, from March 29 – March 30, 2019.
Members of all parner organizations met to initiate the project, to discuss strategies and potential ways to reach the project aim.

Learning, Teaching and Training Event in Porto
The learning and training activity – lasting for 5 days has taken place in Porto (from November 1st until November 5th). This training aimed to care for the homogeneous background of the participating organisations.
The consortium is built up providing complementary skills and knowledge, which are necessary to execute the active parts of the project. Additional a different approach to Distance Learning must be estimated in such a transnational group.
The foreseen activities brought the associations to a homogenious level of competences, so they can meet the expectations and results as mentioned in the Intellectual Output descriptions.
Schedule and Activities
The activities were workshops and lectures dealing with
- Knowledge transfer about active learning and the heutagogical approach to develop self-determined learners on transnational level between the participating organizations (lectures)
- The planning of an implementation of the courses comparable on a scientific base and lectures
- Practical experience in implementing the course
- Hands-on practices

Project launched
The CICERO project has been launched with the kickoff meeting in Wiener Neustadt.
In the preparation phase the environment for the project has been prepared and all participating organisations cared for the necessary ressources and the environmental conditions to start the project.
Specifically, this covered
Internal meetings of each project team in each organization to define the various roles and final responsibilities within the organization, and to select the relevant people due to their skills, knowledge and abilities.- Internal meetings in each partner’s organization to discuss, to plan and to structure the upcoming activities
- Each participating organization standardizes their address pool for the further use in the dissemination work
- Development of proposals for indicators to identify all project-relevant stakeholders outside the organisation
- Stakeholders are identified by name (as target groups of dissemination activities in each organization)
- Work plan reviews in order to optimize the timing for the implementation phase
- Papers and relevant documents for the project´s content are published in a web-based repository at the collaboration platform for preliminary reading
